Good morning.
Just returned from my walk. A chilly 37 this morning. It won't get back to normal temps until early next week.
So, good weather to do some things around the house. We finally went out a got a door for the second bedroom. Way back when we bought the house. The door to the master bedroom had a cutout in the bottom corner. The previous owners must of had a small animal they wanted to be able to go in and out of the bedroom when the door was closed. It was obviously a do-it-yourself job and looked really bad. So we took the door off and threw it out and put the door from the second bedroom there. So now, after a year and a half of living here, we finally decided to get another door. So we picked that up a couple of days ago, and today I'm going out to get some chisels and wood tools to cut out the hinge spots. Then we'll hang the door.
In other news....
I made spiral zucchini salad again. It is tasty!
And Tuesday, we went with a group of neighbors over to Aliante again for their Taco Tuesday. Tasty street tacos! And this Tuesday was one of the casino's free sock hop events in their showroom. They have this twice a month on Tuesdays. A different live band playing from 6-9pm. And, did I say, it's free?
So after dinner, we all went over and enjoyed the music and
dancing.
With this cold weather, I think it's time to cook our last turkey. Help keep the house warm and smelling good. :-)
Isn't it amazing how fast time flies when you're retired?
ReplyDeleteYou repeated yourself at the end there. Something I find myself doing more.
But if it was a good band, maybe you felt the repetition necessary. ;-)
It is summer here already. 80! Ugh!
Take care!
