late April update.

Good morning.

First off, an early morning pic from one of my walks...

I love living in a golf course community, even if I don't golf. It feels like we live in a large park. It sure doesn't look like a desert!
Our property and grounds committee has been busy. Beside our continuing work on the turf removal project, we're also working on installing gates on the Pickleball courts, and a handrail at the front entrance to the community center. All important projects to enhance the quality of life here. With just over 2000 homes, we have a lot of residents that take advantage of all the activities our community offers. 

And I've finished our summer trip plans to Michigan and have all the hotels booked. 

I'm still working on the baseboard corners. I have 7 done, 2 in progress and 5 to go. They look soo much better! But it takes time to redo and alter the corners, so I'm taking my time. Also, it's hard on my back crouching down on the floor soo long, so I need to take breaks in between. I'm not as young and limber as I used to be.....  :-)

remodel project

Yes, don't faint, another post....

I've been working on a project in our house.

One thing that has bugged me from the beginning, was the baseboards.
 The corners don't match the baseboards. They put these ugly blocks there. So since i couldn't find a 'match' I got some that were similar and modified them....

Below you can see the before, after, and the ones I still need to do....

And we finally found something that fit, and something we liked for a small wall in our living room...

And the weather has been perfect! And I've also been working in the yard. more pics to follow......maybe....   :-)
 

annual street party.

Good morning. I've been bad and need to do a post, so I've been told.  :-)

 So, yesterday, we had our annual street party with friends and neighbors. But it was too windy to have it in the street, so we moved it to our garage. 

No one seemed to mind, and a good time was had by all.
