just talk

A little up-date on what we've been doing. Which is really not much. Work has been steady. And our weekends for the most part are just plain lazy. We are not winter people. Don't like the cold.
So we pretty much stay inside if we can.
No winter trips.
Saving money for gas for the summer.
Remember, the mo-ho only gets about 8 mpg.
.
We are on our 3rd puzzle so far this winter.
Craig has been making some delicious meals.
He loves to cook!
I love to eat!
He's been reading some novel. I don't like to read.
So I play on the puter.
Between surfing and reading other blogs,
I've been playing Tropico.
It's a civilization building game.
Europa 1400 is another one I like.
.
.
We've also been tweaking our summer camping schedule.
We just added Brimley State Park
in Michigan's Upper Peninsula to our schedule. It will be the first time we will take
the motor home over the Mackinac Bridge! But Craig has gotten use to me driving it, and feels more comfortable with the idea.
.
Only 8 more days till blood tests!
4 weeks till Craig's Colonoscopy.
Getting older is sooo much fun!

    Morning!
If I remember correctly, Brimley has a casino and a beautiful golf course....probably the golf does not interest you, but save more pennies for the Indians!

I used to do puzzles by the hour when I had the free time and the space. I think I have the space again in the new place so I may start one.

Best wishes for good results on the blood tests and the colonoscopy. I think my recall is at the end of this year. I do not look forward to the prep, but I do not mind the actual test at all. Hmmm. Wonder why? ;)

  5. Wayne, sounds like what you do to pass the Winter is enjoyable and fun. My hasband and I don't do much either. Both of us are, as you say, "'puter" people. He plays war games and I blog.

Thanks for the medical checkup info...I so love to hear about people's blood tests and colonoscopies! Ha!

  6. You guys should plan a trip to Alabama. There is a camping ground just 1/2 down the road from us on the Tennessee River. Of course, there is not a lot to do here. :)

The blood test is the easy one (I'll let ya know how mine turns out..lol). As lemuel says, the prep is the worst part of the colonoscopy...the procedure itself you don't even remember. I've already had 2, but my doc says I can wait a couple more years before he makes me get another one. Yeeehaaaaa!

  8. Puzzles? You are a patient man. My nightmare colonoscopy was that I done all the prep and when I went in they told me they didn't have me listed for that day. LIVID!
