And speaking of the yard, we mowed it today, and I did a final season spraying the paths for weeds. We had a very dry August, and the yard looks pretty worn. But that's common for this time of year.
And a long day at work today. I start at 8 am, and won't finish till about 7 pm. And Thursday is almost as long. But that's what I need to do to have a 3 day weekend! So see you Friday!
The variety of plants in your yard is a bontanists delight!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's you or not, lol, but according to the news this morning, the Farmer's Almanac is predicting colder than normal winters for the next three years.
ReplyDeleteIt's been 3 or 4 years since we had any snow here on the coast.
*hugs*
Sis
Our mornings have been just a little cooler.....in the 50s. The days are fantastic. Sunny, warm, wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCrazy thing is that up here as well, the last two weeks or more in August, we never received a drop of rain, so after rain nearly every day since June, then nothing and of course everything started to turn brown fast.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was walking the dog and was very surprised to see a Great Blue Heron in our neighbor's pond. I have never seen one around here, although we have many white cranes around which are also enjoyable to watch. I thought it was quite a coincidence after reading your earlier post. Your gardens are still beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your garden.
