the election

Yep! Went to the polling place about 9:30 this morning. We've voted at the same precinct for 5 elections now, and I've never seen soooo many people! I'd say 2 times the turnout from the last election! You couldn't find a parking space!
And we vote in a very Republican district, but on the way to vote, I saw way more Obama signs than McCain signs. That just seemed weird! But maybe it's a sign of the times.
Hope everyone did get out and vote.
Tomorrow will be a new day in America!

I stopped on my way to work at 7:00 and it only took about 20 minutes. One of the workers there said usually they get about 400 voters all day, but were expecting that many by noon. When my brother voted at 9:30 they had already had 373! I hope this is a good sign.

  3. It was insane at our polling place (and I live out in the middle of nowhere). Personally, I thought thing would have gone faster, for me, if I could have skipped the how-to-vote lesson. Please, I know how to connect a broken arrow. I can even handle those dreaded butterfly punch ballots.
