My Nov post.. :-)

Good morning.
I see I'm late posting again, so I need to do a whole month of catch-up.
Since fall is here and temps have cooled into the 70's and 80's, it's pie baking time again!

So here's my first apple pie of the season. I used Fuji Apples and it turned out real good!
And gas has gone up here like the rest of the country, and probably more! It's running around $3.89 a gallon, but I got it for this.......
We shop at Smith's, and you get so much off a gallon depending on how much you spend. I also can do a survey once a week from their receipts for another $.5 off a gallon. And  one week, they were offering 400 fuel points with a $50 purchase. Well that doesn't take long with the way prices have gone up.Every little bit helps!
And we've been seeing a lot of these little butterflies on my creeping Lantana.....
And we just got back from a little staycation.
Spent 2 nights down on Fremont street at The D. Ate, drank, did a lot of people watching, and of course, a little gambling......
Which we did pretty good for a change! Paid for all our gambling, and some of our food and drink!~
And today, I have my monthly property and grounds committee meeting. We're starting the process of determining what to do with the grassy areas around the community center that have to go. The state has passed a law banning all nonfunctional turf. So, unless it's in a park, on a playground, on a golf course, or in your backyard, it cannot be watered starting in 2027. So that is the main focus of our committee for a while.
Then after the meeting, we'll meet at the 3100 Grill for a late lunch. 2 of the committee members are also friends of ours.
And we just paid the balance on a winter cruise. First one since Covid, and our Hawaiian cruise back in
Jan of 2020.
So I guess that catches you up for a while.

  1. Congratulations on your winnings!
I guess some sort of desert setting instead of grass? Concrete will make the areas hotter. Not sure if there is a grass that does good in drought.
Our Kroger does the gas thing, but we never get more than .10c a gallon off. Surprised us one year when we filled up in Texas to find out we could get .30c a gallon off! Congrats on you for that savings!
    Your pie looks good. Enjoy!
