Just a quick post. Work has been very busy, and at home I've started the fall yard clean-up. Which basically means cutting back all the perennials that have finished blooming. Fall is a good time because I can gradually do this as each group of perennials get done blooming. Then the job doesn't seem as overwhelming as it would if I waited till early spring.
Also Tuesday, while cleaning inside the house, I looked our the patio door and spotted a Great Blue Heron at the pond! The pic isn't real good, because I had to shoot thru the glass in the bright sunlight. They are magnificent birds! Huge! But it helps keep the frog population down, and that's also why I have no fish in the pond.
wow, that is really something!

Wow! At first I thought you bought a life like statue. That is awesome! I have a bit of a green thumb and love all your pictures of your garden. You keep it so well cared for, I can just imagine the work you must have to put into it. Unfortunately I'm in an apartment but my friends say my balcony is insane with the amount of plants I have. Thanks for sharing.
