They're a Shinin!

Good morning from a beautiful Lansing, MI. Yes! Summer has arrived! Finally! Temps well into the 70's. And have I been busy! Since we got back into biking, I decided I needed to clean them up good. Now we've had these bikes for probably 20 years or more. And they've been hanging in the back of the garage unused, for at least several years. And although mechanically they are in great shape, they don't look so good. But after washing them down good, I've started on the wheels. As you can see in the first pic, there is a lot of surface rust.

I used a chrome cleaner and polish, and with a lot of elbow grease, got it shining like new!
But I did just one wheel yesterday, as my fingers started to cramp up, so maybe I do another wheel today.
I also managed to polish 2 of the mo-ho wheels, and I did get the PT Cruiser washed, waxed, and the inside looking good as new. And that was a job! Living near the Airport, you get all this gunk on your cars surface. It took nearly an hour with a bug and tar remover to get most of it off, but it sure looks good right now!
And for dinner, I cooked a Turkey Breast on the grill, and had Corn on the Cob, and Stove Top Stuffing.

  1. I admire you guys for digging those bikes out of "doing nothing" and putting them to very good use. They look great! And I'm sure you'll look good on them, too.

  2. How much coffee do you drink a day? Or is this just you're natural energy level? LOL!

I'm envious of your ability to get so much stuff done nearly every day!
