I've just returned from cleaning the salon. The weather has done a 180. This is what we awoke to yesterday morning.
After nearly 2 weeks of spring like weather....BAM! In your face! But that's March in Michigan. Actually, we've had mostly warmer than normal weather for March so far. And next week is forecast for a return to the high 40s to low 50's. Spring is on it's way.
The other project I did on that beautiful Friday afternoon was re-putting down our fake deck.
If your a regular reader, you see this post every spring. The cement slab outside the patio door is ugly. I've tried patching, painting, and nothing helped, so we found this nifty solution.
12 in square strips of wood hooked to plastic bases that snap together.
I numbered them so they come up and go back down easily.
I have no idea what this plant is. Maybe one of my gardening readers can help me out here. I've had this for a number of years and can't remember what it is. It's never flowered but this year there are numerous large strange pods getting ready to open. I can't wait to see what they look like!
And last, my Hellebore is budding up. So spring is slowly arriving.
And here's what spring is bringing forth up here in Michigan.....
Daffodils just beginning to bud up. Should be blooming in about a week.I have no idea what this plant is. Maybe one of my gardening readers can help me out here. And last night for dinner, we had home made pizza. Now we usually make our own crust, but Garret mentioned in a post they use store bought Boboli crusts and liked them, so we gave them a try and they were scrupulous! I don't think Craig will make his own any more. Thanks Garret!
And today, as soon as I finish this post, I'm starting what was suppose to be last Sunday's dinner until we got distracted, Corned beef. Craig has this really good recipe for a slow cooker, and it cooks for 8 hours, but is worth waiting for.
So that's it for now!
Glad you liked the Boboli. Because a store didn't have Boboli, I had to buy a different brand. We haven't had it yet but you reminded me to do a post about the shelf life of this particular brand. LOL. Months! Ick!
