I've just come in from working in the yard during a break in the current rainy period.
It has been raining pretty much non-stop since shortly after we got home on Monday.
We've gotten just over 3 inches of rain. We are under a flood warning, again.
We are forecast for scattered showers all week.
But, the rain has really gotten the yard looking good.

The perennials have really multiplied this year. The downsized beds I did last fall with all the transplanting and moving of plants are really looking good.
I've got some things blooming now, and I'll post some pics later this week, but with the selection of perennials I have, my yard looks best from mid June to mid July.
So, because we were stuck indoors for most of Monday and Tuesday, I was online looking for an alternate place to buy the Salon's laundry detergent and coffee. I'm a member of Sam's Club and this year, they're hiking the membership fee to $45. I think it crazy to pay a yearly fee for the privilege to shop somewhere, so I'm looking for an alternative. Anyone have any ideas? That's pretty much all I but there as the nearest one is on the other side of town.
Now it's time to go back to work, and it's gonna be a busy one!
I know a lot of people like Costco, but I was just looking and it costs more than Sam's.
ReplyDeleteStaples sells office supplies like coffee, but I don't think I've seen laundry soap there.
Now that I'm not living by a base, I buy a lot more stuff at Wally World. (No Thrifty Acres here).
Sometimes I shop at Albertson's or a local chain called Mac's, but when you're on a fixed income you tend to shop where you get the most for your money.
They also have a Kroger here, but about the only thing we buy there is their brand of sausage.
Best I can say is look for a local 'warehouse' type store. When we lived in NC there was one in Greenville just down the road from SAM's.
Oh, we also have Super 1, but I just don't like the arrangement of the store so we don't go there much, either.
