Yep, Still winter here

This post is for all my readers who live in warmer climates, or spend the winter there.
I know you miss this stuff!
My last post showed my yard in summer. Here's a pic I took yesterday. Nope, no daffodils yet!We had some snow melt last week during a very brief warm spell. ( It got way up to 40! WOO-HOO!)

But of course, today is cold and It's been snowing off and on. And sun, what's that? But I have to keep telling myself, it's March, and it should slowly start to get better.

But I'm an impatient person.

So, today I'll clean the house, and play computer games. Craig will cook a beef roast in the crock pot with carrots, onions, and mushrooms. (I love the smell of food cooking all day)! And do paperwork.

And I'm spending way to much time at this computer. And slowly getting addicted to too many blogs.

Hope the weather breaks soon!

  1. As cold and nasty as your winter has been, I've seen beautiful snow pics all winter from you and others in the area. Should I tell you that my Winter Daphne is blooming? Smells wonderful!

We had a blizzard on friday. It is warmer today and the sun is out.

  3. Damn. Fly boy has Daphne. It is very hard to grow and dies if not perfect. Likes moist, acidic, and well aireated (how do you spell that word???) soil. And boy is does smell heavenly. I killed mine (was in the zone with the raspberries and got too much water).

Weeded all day on my hands and knees. Get them before they go to seed. Finished fertilizing the lawn (here we go with super growth) and fertilized the Rhodies and Azaleas.

    Lovely day lily collection!

What cut of meat do you use for your roast? just the one the store marks as 'beef roast'?
    Does he add any seasonings?
    What size for two people?
I'm always looking for new crockpot recipes.
And I need to learn to cook for two. lol. :)

Oh, and how big is your crock pot? *^_^*

    Sis. *Hugs* :)

I feel your pain. Average temperatures here in Vermont this week are expected to be around zero, with -15 as a low on Thursday. Without the wind chill.

I need more of those summery pics of yours.
