Good evening.
Sad day today as Craig let go his beloved 1998 Honda Accord.
I think he liked this car more than any other he's had. We drove it out here 2 years ago when we bought the house and left it here to use each time we came out. It had never seen snow, as he parked it in the garage every fall until spring. And it had only 57,000 miles on it.
But, he realized we can't keep 3 cars in the Nevada heat. The sun in the summer, literally burns the finish off cars parked all day in the sun. And we only have a 2 car garage. So, He knew this was inevitable, but still a sad day for him. He gets very attached to every car he's ever owned. If he had the money and space, he'd still have every car he's ever owned.
The new owners are relatives of the person who bought the Salon. They flew out today from Michigan to pick it up. We dropped the car off at their hotel, then picked them up at the airport.
Craig hopes they'll give it a good home.
We've settled in nicely in our new home. Tomorrow, I'll call a few landscapers to get estimates on redoing the back yard. I'll also try to remember to take pics of the house, now that it's all 'done'.
We are slowly getting acclimated to the time zone here. I used to get up at 5 in Michigan, and I'm finally getting close to that here. I hope to push it even farther now that we don't work. We'll see how that goes. :-)
You have given up gardening for good!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I went to an earlier time zone. I found it helpful to stay up as long as I could.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are settling in.
