plant pics

Good morning.
Here's a few pics from my walk this morning.....
Above, a Crepe myrtle, and below I believe is a Desert Spoon Yucca sending up flower stalks
This odd flower stalk between the palms was coming up from a small Agave. The stalk must be 20 feet tall!
Another Crepe Myrtle.
The Desert Spoon Yucca in full bloom. And attracting a lot of bees!
Not sure the name of this flowering shrub, but they are all over the community.
And a white Crepe Myrtle.
It's been very pleasant walking in the morning. Temps in the 80's. With the temps over 110 every day this week, you pretty much stay inside in the afternoon.
That's pretty much it for now.

  1. Wayne, the tall flowering stalk plant is called an 'Agave Americana' aka the 'Century plant'. They live 10-30 yrs. and once the plant sends up that tall stalk, it will die. But, it has little babies that start to grow from around the base. We have one in our yard.
